The book is set in a small town in Northern Virginia in 1963 when four housewives form a kinship through reading The Feminine Mystique, a revolutionary look at women’s place in society at that time. This inaugural book for their book club sparks a journey of self-discovery, sisterhood and challenges to the pervasive patriarchy of the era.
